Lufkin man injured in rollover wreck on Timberland Drive

LUFKIN, TX (KTRE) - A Lufkin man was taken to the hospital following a three-vehicle wreck Friday morning at the intersection of Timberland Drive and Laurel.

According to Police Officer, Eddie Ibarra, Bennie Moye, 78, was driving a Nissan Frontier pick-up around 11:30 a.m. and was leaving the service center in the Brookshire Brothers parking lot.  He shot across the road trying to turn onto Laurel. He was hit by Clara Cox, 36, of Lufkin, who was driving south on Timberland Drive.  Moye rolled his pickup and hit a Mercury Milan driven by Fabian Gonzales, 24. Moye was taken to a Lufkin hospital; treated and released.

Moye was cited for failure to right-a-way from a public driveway, according to Ibarra.
