Fire destroys Lufkin house

LUFKIN, TX (KTRE) - LUFKIN, Texas (KTRE) - A fire destroyed a Lufkin home Thursday afternoon.

It appears nobody was at the house, located at 102 McHale Street, when the fire sparked.

Firefighters responded to the blaze at 5:44 p.m. and had it under control at about 6:15 p.m.

Lufkin Fire Marshal LeeFran Skelton said four people lived at the house and a cause to the fire is not yet known.
