Black Tie Bingo raises money for Lufkin Boys and Girls Club

LUFKIN, TX (KTRE) – It's the classiest bingo game in East Texas. Enthusiasts put on their suits and evening gowns for the annual Black Tie Bingo at Crown Colony Country Club.

Organizers say it's the biggest fundraiser of the year for the Lufkin Boys and Girls Club.

With more than 280 people playing bingo boards, they hope to raise 30 to 40-thousand dollars to support the club.

"All proceeds help do all the everyday maintenance, the expenses of the club to help us you know do programs for members and give them snacks and help them with their afterschool programs," said Cristy Sorrelts, Specific Events Director for the Lufkin Boys and Girls Club.

Eight game of bingo tonight, complete with food, drinks, and of course prizes for all the winners. The night also included both silent and live auctions.
