LONGVIEW, TX (KLTV) - A Longview woman gave birth to a record-setting baby Friday morning.

Janet Johnson and Michael Brown are the proud parents of a 24" long, 16 lb. 4oz. baby boy, delivered by scheduled c-section at 9 am on Friday.

Jamichael Brown is the largest ever baby delivered at Good Shepherd Medical Center.

Jamichael's head measures 15" and his chest measures 17".

Two years ago, nearly to the day, the smallest baby ever to be delivered at GSMC was born, weighing only 15 oz.

We're told the average baby weighing 14 lbs and measuring 24" in length is between six to nine months old.

Hospital officials say Jamichael is healthy, but is under constant supervision.
