GROVETON, TX (KTRE) - A Trinity County grand jury has indicted a man accused of setting three separate fires in forest land in August and September.

Kenneth Woychesin III, 21, is charged with three counts of arson. The Trinity County Sheriff's Office arrested him at his residence outside the Groveton city limits on Friday.

According to District Attorney Joe Ned Dean, Woychesin is accused of setting two fires on Forest Road 501 and one on JV Price Road. The fires on Forest Road 501 were set on August 16 and 30 and the other was set on property adjacent to FM 2262.

Dean said he could not comment on how investigators connected Woychesin to the crime, but that the grand jury found more than enough evidence to indict him.

Dean said all of the fires were relatively small, with none more than 30 acres.
