LUFKIN, TX (KTRE) - A Nacogdoches man was arrested early Friday after Lufkin Police say he was busting windows out of a church and vans of the church while he was naked.
According to the report, an officer was dispatched to Emanuel Assembly of God Church, located at 1818 N. Timberland Drive, in reference to a completely naked man in the parking lot of the church.
Officers immediately took Moses Nito, 26, into custody. Nito was laying on the ground with his hands in handcuffs and talking extremely fast and non-stop, according to the report. Nito was also covered in mud and holding money and said he broke into the cars down the street and broke into the church and took money from the church, according to the report.
The report states Nito also broke all of the windows to all of the church vans, as well as to the church. The estimated damage is $3,000.
Police seized $16, which Nito said he had taken from the church.
A mug shot for Nito was not available as of 11:30 a.m.
He is charged with criminal mischief to a place of worship and burglary of a building, both state jail felonies.
He remains in the Angelina County Jail without bond.
