2014 MARCH PRIMARY ELECTION RESULTS

In the statewide races, the Associated Press is projecting that Republican candidate Greg Abbott will be facing Democrat Wendy Davis in November for the governor's seat.
AP is also predicting that Dan Patrick will challenge Lieutenant Governor in a run-off election for the GOP candidacy for that position.
Voting totals are final in the counties of Angelina, Nacogdoches and Polk and some large-profile races have been determined.
In Angelina County Amy Fincher won the county clerk race by a wide margin, beating Crystal Brent and Dickey Dickson.
"It really did surprise me. I was expecting a run off so I was surprised by the numbers," Fincher said. "I'm very excited about it and I'm glad that the voters made the right choice."
In Nacogdoches County, Mike Perry avoided a run-off, winning the Republican nomination outright over Donna Finley and Max McCormack.
In Angelina County, Joe Lee Register pulled off 400-vote win over Todd Kassaw for the County Court-at-Law Republican nomination.
"I'm just amazed and blessed by so many friends and supporters. It was a great race. Mr. Kassaw was a great opponent," Register said. "He actually put up a great battle in this matter and it was closer than I really liked but it finally came out our way and this is what we prayed for and wanted and I'm going to do the best I can for the people of Angelina County."
In Polk County, William Hon held off a challenge by Elizabeth Coker to retain the district attorney seat.
Elsewhere at the county level, there was a close race in Shelby County, where the judge's race, which was won by a margin of one vote. Former county clerk Allison Harbison received 1,629 votes, one vote more than incumbent Rick Campbell's 1,628.No Democrat filed for the county judge race in Shelby County.
