LUFKIN, TX (News Release) - Friday, June 12, 2015, Angelina County Precinct 1 Constable Tom Selman received a report involving the sale of a rented forklift. The victim purchased the forklift from a man in a parking lot on Timberland Drive in Lufkin and contacted a towing company to move his new equipment.

The victim first learned that he had been fooled when the tow truck driver informed him that earlier in the day the driver picked up the forklift from a rental company and delivered it to the seller at the same location where the victim purchased it.

Rental records identify the "seller" is Robert Duncan, a 49-year-old white male. He has a thin build, very short hair, and a circular-shaped tattoo on him right forearm. Duncan's connection to Lufkin is not known; he has an expired Indiana driver's license.

Duncan left Lufkin at approximately 4:30 p.m. Friday, June 12, headed northbound on Highway 59 driving a white late model white Chevrolet Express Van possibly displaying Arkansas or Indiana license plates.

Duncan is shown here in an image captured at the time of the crime; he is standing between the van and forklift.
