NACOGDOCHES, TX (KTRE) - The Nacogdoches Chamber of Commerce held their annual awards banquet Tuesday night.
The night was used to honor .outstanding businesses and individuals that went above and beyond the call of duty.
This years winners were: Grace Handler, citizen of the year; Shelley's Bakery Cafe, small business of the year; Mast Motorsports, medium business of the year; Clear Springs Restaurant and Auntie Pasta's, large business of the year.
The event was also the last chamber banquet for Chamber CEO Bruce Partain. Earlier in September, Partain announced he was leaving the chamber to take a similar job in Colorado.
"It was so great to work with this leadership team over the years," Partain said. "This was not just me. it took a group effort to pul off the success the chamber has seen over the last few years. There were a lot of people that helped me."
The Chamber also swore in new executive members at the event.
