NACOGDOCHES, TX (KTRE) - Saturday morning at 12:03 a.m. a three-vehicle crash left one dead and several others injured in Nacogdoches County.
Jose Lusi Reyes, 22, of Nacogdoches, died after being ejected from his vehicle.
The crash happened in front of Lugnutz on Highway 59 South.
DPS Trooper John Henley said Reyes was driving on Highway 59 when he reared a white Chevrolet pick up truck driven by Candice Cooper. The impact caused Reyes car to spin around into oncoming traffic without headlights.
A red Volkswagen Jetta driven by Sydney Rae Cantalupo crashed into Reyes head on.
Reyes was ejected from his car as it rolled over several times.
Henley said Cantalupo, Cooper and a passenger were taken to Memorial Hospital in Nacogdoches for their injuries. Reyes died on the scene.
Officials don't believe alcohol was involved, but said Reyes blood work has been sent off to get tested.
