Pilot Released From Hospital Following Plane Crash

The pilot in Saturday's plane crash near Nacogdoches is now out of the hospital after he was treated for several lacerations on his arms.

70-year-old Farrell Davis of Garrison was out flying Saturday when he says his engine suddenly quit. He was too far from the Nacogdoches airport and had to crash into the woods.

Officials are still investigating what happened to cause the failed engine. Pilots we spoke with say Davis is a seasoned pilot who did everything he could to save his life.

People we spoke with at the scene say Davis is lucky to be alive.
