Report: Lufkin woman smuggles meth-tainted urine for drug test

LUFKIN, TX (KTRE) - A Lufkin woman learned she picked the wrong person's urine to pass a drug test when the falsified sample tested positive for meth Thursday, according to Lufkin police.

April Lynn Wetherell, 26, is charged with Class C false drug test. She was also arrested on unrelated warrants.

According to the police report, Wetherell tried to used urine from a plastic bottle hidden inside her vaginal area at the probation office at 2:49 p.m. The probation officer told police she could tell something was going on when she went into the bathroom and Wetherell already had urine in the cup.

The probation officer said Wetherell admitted "it wasn't my pee."

The probation officer said they decided to go ahead and test the falsified sample and found it to be positive for meth.

Wetherell has posted a collective $3,000 bail.
