Lufkin PD: Mail carrier attacked by 2 pit bulls

LUFKIN, TX (KTRE) - A mail carrier was bitten by two pit bulls in Lufkin on Monday as she was delivering mail along her route.
Sgt. Rodney Squyres with Lufkin Police Department said the attack happened in the 1200 block of Reen Drive in Lufkin.
The police report states the mail carrier was bitten repeatedly on her arms, leg and head by the two dogs.
Animal control was called to the scene, and those officers were able to catch the two dogs and take them in to quarantine them.
The mail carrier was sent to a Lufkin hospital with what Squyres called "bad injuries."
