Livingston police asking for public's help in finding suspect in child sex assault

LIVINGSTON, TX (KTRE) - The Livingston Police Department is asking for the public's help in finding a 19-year-old man suspected of sexually assaulting a 14-year-old girl at a hotel in the evening hours of July 1.

Lt. Matt Parrish, a spokesman for the Livingston Police Department, said that the suspect's name is Eli Binnion. Binnion is from Livingston.

Parrish said the alleged sexual assault occurred at the Hampton Inn in Livingston at about 5 p.m. on July. The alleged victim told police that she returned to a room where she had been with some from friends to retrieve some items and was confronted by Binnion, who then sexually assaulted her, Parrish said.

Anyone with any information on Binnion or his whereabouts is urged to call the Livingston Police Department at (936) 327-3117 or Crime Stoppers at (936) 327-STOP (7867). Callers to the Crime Stoppers hotline will remain anonymous and they will be eligible to receive a cash reward of up to $1,000 if the information provided leads to an arrest or grand jury indictment.
