LUFKIN, TX (KTRE) - Making history, once again, fans, friends and family members of the Lufkin Little League Junior League team cheered behind the all stars on Sunday at Buffalo Wild Wings.
Just a day before, the Lufkin players beat California 5 to 2 in the national championship game.
Even though Sunday's game was a tough loss, the community here continues to rally behind the incredible team.
"Everybody is proud of them, proud of what they have done and how they have handled themselves," said Matthew Hubert, assistant director of Parks and Recreation. "How they carry themselves and now they are representing Lufkin Little League in Detroit, MI."
