COLLEGE STATION, TX (News Release) - Texas A&M football's Trayveon Williams, Daniel LaCamera, Landis Durham, Kingsley Keke and Erik McCoy earned spots on the Preseason All-SEC Team, as voted on by the media attending the 2018 SEC Media Days on Friday.
Williams and LaCamera were voted to the second team as Durham, Keke and McCoy landed on the third team.
Williams led the Aggie rushing attack last season with 798 yards and was second on the team with eight touchdowns. An offensive captain, Williams led all Texas A&M running backs with 20 receptions and 192 yards through the air. The Houston native became the fourth Aggie in school history with multiple 200-yard rushing games after opening the season with 203 yards on 22 carries at UCLA.
LaCamera started in all 13 games and was a semifinalist for the Lou Groza Award, going 18-for-21 on field goals and 51-for-52 on extra points. In SEC play, the Tarpon Springs, Fla., native went 12-for-13 including the go-ahead field goal with 58 seconds left at Florida, earning SEC Special Teams Player of the Week honors. The senior drilled a season-long field goal of 52 yards against Alabama and made three field goals and five PATs in as many attempts against Arkansas.
Durham tied for the league lead with 10.5 sacks and was second on the team in tackles for loss at 12. The Plano, Texas, native recorded seven sacks against SEC opponents, which tied for third in the conference and was a half-sack behind the league leader. The senior was named the SEC Defensive Lineman of the Week on October 2 after recording five tackles, two sacks and a QB hurry against Arkansas. In the Belk Bowl against Wake Forest, Durham capped off the season with two sacks and six tackles.
Keke, who was just one of three Aggies on defense to start every game last season, recorded 54 tackles, 2.5 tackles for loss, two pass breakups and a sack. The Richmond, Texas, native ended the season with a career-high nine tackles against Wake Forest, including two fourth-quarter goal-line tackles.
