NACOGDOCHES, TX (KTRE) - One suspect was arrested while another remains at large after they were seen reportedly attempting to install a card skimming device at a gas station in Nacogdoches.

At about 4 a.m., a Nacogdoches police officer noticed suspicious activity at the gas pumps at the store located at the intersection of Loop 224 and Durst Street. At the time, the store had not yet opened for the day, according to Sgt. Greg Sowell, a spokesman for the Nacogdoches Police Department.

At that point, the NPD officer spoke to two people, and further investigation revealed that they were attempting to install a card-skimming device on a gas pump.

"One male suspect fled from the officer on foot, and one was arrested," Sowell said. "Reports on this case are still being completed, and the investigation is underway."
