Night Club Homicide

One man is dead and another in custody after an early morning stabbing at a Lufkin night club.

It happened around 2:30am. Angelina county Sheriff's deputies say they arrived at the Cabbage Patch Club in Lufkin after getting reports of a stabbing.  When they arrived, they found 54 year old Larry Landers being attended by several medical personnel who happened to be at the night club.  Landers was taken to Memorial Medical Center of Lufkin where he was pronounced dead.  The suspect, is identified as 24 year old DeAndre Doyle Thomas.  Thomas had fled the scene by the time deputies arrived but turned himself in later this morning.  Thomas was arrested on a warrant for murder felony 1.
