The Lufkin business community continues to grow as new restaurants and stores continue opening up. And even more are planning to open in the next few months. "New business means more products for the community. It means more jobs. It's an opportunity for somebody, whoever owns it to really start their life and get something going," Ramsey Parr, Chik-Fil-A franchise owner said.
Today, a new business expo at the mall brought in experts to show people just how easy it can be to open a business in East Texas. Christie Maddux, marketing manager with the mall said, "A lot of people have always had that interest they just didn't know where to go or where to start and those that are interested today we provided them with vital tools." They gave interested entrepreneurs information about everything from how to get the start up money to which companies are looking to make a home in Lufkin. "These are franchise hopefuls that are just looking for an entrepreneur to branch out and move to new areas," Maddux explains.
