COVID-19 pushed back the annual Run For The Wall, which is the world’s largest and longest organized cross-country motorcycle run of its kind, for two years. This year is the 32nd run, and veterans and those who support them are in the middle of a 10-day ride from Ontario, California to Washington, D.C.

Among the six problems found in the state’s most recent inspection were inmates remaining in holding cells for more than 48 hours, and those inmates not having the opportunity to shower. There were also documentation issues regarding the use of the jail’s restraint chair.

“It’s the reenactment of the shooting that happened here with Barrymore and another individual that actually got shot...” Hood said, Barrymore being Drew Barrymore's great grandfather.

“To be able to get hands on experience in the lab with a real bed, some of them maybe with a manikin, with a vital sign machine to work on the computer or whatever it can be, it really helps prepare them for what it’s going to be like when they get into the hospital or healthcare environment,” Chief Nursing Officer at CHRISTUS Mother Frances Hospital, Shelly Welch said.

“To come up with a plan of what we would do or what would be done to where you are trained and ready to respond to an escalating situation like what happened at affordable dentures,” said Boren.
