“The brewery ... we’ve already started and we’re hoping to be brewing beer again in three weeks, which is good,” says Woodward. “So, we got a jump on that, but now it’s a lot of demolition, a lot of dirty work and then we’ll start rebuilding next week.”
Although he always knew he wanted to fly, on Thursday, he was reminded why he wanted to become a U.S. Coast Guard Lieutenant.
“It’s moments like this ... this is why you join. Getting able to go out and search and save somebody’s life,” Travis Rhea said.
The fire destroyed a home in the 9200 block of Lakeshore Drive. According to Smith County Deputy Fire Marshal Barron Wedgeworth, a homeowner heard a noise upstairs at around 8:07, went to see what it was, and saw a fire. The residents were able to get out safely. No one was injured, including firefighters.
