NACOGDOCHES, Texas (KTRE) - Two men were found dead in a Nacogdoches home on Wednesday, and deputies have said the case appears to be a murder-suicide.

Deputies and investigators were dispatched to the 3400 block of State Highway 7 East around 8:22 p.m. due to a suicide report, the Nacogdoches County Sheriff’s Office said in a release.

At the residence, they found Cornelius Ray Craft, 56, of Nacogdoches, and Terry Lee Romine, 48, of Jacksonville, both dead.

Both Romine and Craft suffered gunshot wounds to the head, authorities said, and Romine appeared to have been the shooter based on evidence at the scene.

Craft was married to Romine’s ex-wife, according to the release, but authorities have said the motive for the shooting remains unclear at this time. Evidence was collected at the scene and autopsies have been ordered for both bodies.

Deputies said no other individuals were injured in the incident. This is an ongoing investigation.
