Laredo police investigate death of man at downtown bar

LAREDO, Tex. (KGNS) - Laredo police have identified a man who died this weekend after suffering a medical emergency at a downtown bar.

Police received a call about an unresponsive man at a bar on Iturbide Street just after 2 a.m. Sunday.

Paramedics responded and transported the victim, identified as 32-year-old Julio Cesar Martinez, to a Laredo hospital.

“We are currently pending the autopsy report from the medical examiner’s office be able to determine what happened to his death,” Jose Espinoza said.

The death investigation is still ongoing.
