Police: 2 bodies found inside home with gunshot wounds in Lufkin

LUFKIN, Texas (KTRE) - The Lufkin Police Department and Texas Rangers are investigating the deaths of a mother and son found Friday at a home in the 900 block of Third Street in Lufkin, according to police spokesperson Jackie Zimmerman.

Around 1 p.m., police found a 61-year-old Hispanic female and a 32-year-old Hispanic male dead of apparent gunshot wounds, Zimmerman said in a release.

A man identified as the son and brother of the victims found the bodies and called police, Zimmerman said.
