Plans to build a corporate hangar at the Angelina County Airport approved at first reading

LUFKIN, Texas (KTRE) - The Lufkin Economic Development Corporation has taken the first steps toward building a new hangar at the Angelina County Airport.

Angelina County partnered with the City of Lufkin to come up with a plan to create a corporate hangar at the Angelina County Airport. The hangar will allow for an area for planes to sit when senior executives come to the area for work. The project is estimated to cost $750,000.

A second reading of the hangar will be on the next city council agenda.
