City of Nacogdoches Public Water System rescinds boil notice

NACOGDOCHES, Texas (KTRE) - A boil water notice issued for part of Nacogdoches Monday has been rescinded.
From press release
On February 17, 2025, the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) required the City of Nacogdoches public water system, PWS #1740003, to issue a Boil Water Notice due to recent conditions affecting the public water system. This notice was meant to inform customers, individuals, and employees that the water must be boiled before it can be used for drinking or human consumption purposes.
The public water system has taken the necessary corrective actions to restore the quality of the water distributed by this public water system used for drinking water or human consumption purposes and has provided TCEQ with laboratory test results that indicate that the water no longer requires boiling prior to use as of February 19, 2025 in the affected area.
Therefore, the boil water notice issued on February 17, 2025 is rescinded. If you have questions concerning this matter, you may contact the Water Utilities Department at 936 564- 5046.
