3-month-old in intensive care after father admits to shaking infant, deputies say

SALADO, Texas (KWTX) - A 3-month-old remains in intensive care after his father shook him “out of anger and frustration,” the Bell County Sheriff’s Office said.
Alexander Delano Urban remains behind bars on a $70,000 bond.
McLane Children’s Hospital notified the sheriff’s office that the 3-month-old boy had sustained significant injuries of an unknown cause on Oct. 16.
Police said information provided indicated the incident happened in the 11000 block of La Paloma in Salado.
According to an arrest affidavit, Urban consented to a polygraph. During the polygraph, Urban confessed to shaking the baby out of frustration.
The document states Urban then wrote a letter to the baby stating he regretted his actions and apologizing the baby would “live with and have to deal with something I cause because of my own inability to cope with stress.”
An emergency protective order was also issued, and investigators confirmed that the victim has family members who live nearby.
