REEVES COUNTY, Texas (KOSA) - Two people are dead after a deadly crash in Reeves County on Friday morning, according to the Texas Department of Public Safety.

A tractor-truck that was towing a trailer being driven by Juan Pizano, 48, of Joshua, was driving westbound on CR 302. Laydeker Chivas, 42, of Odessa was traveling eastbound on CR 302 in a tractor-trailer, said Texas DPS.

In a marked no-passing zone, the tractor-trailer that was driving west crossed the center line into the eastbound lane, driving on the wrong side and caused a collision with the other vehicle, said DPS.

Due to the force, both drivers were ejected, had fatal injuries and were pronounced dead at the scene.
