Greenslate pleaded guilty in February to negligent homicide in the Feb. 18, 2023, shooting death of 17-year-old Kip Christensen Lewis.

In April, a judge sentenced Greenslate to five years, suspending all but one year to be served at the Caddo Correctional Center.

Under the terms of his sentence, Greenslate must complete three years of supervised probation, which the court approved to be transferred to Texas.

The court ordered the weapon used in the incident forfeited and destroyed.
