Leon Alfred Danner

Graveside services for Leon Alfred Danner, 87, of Lufkin, will be held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, April 18, 2006, in the Liberty Cemetery near Stephenville, Texas.

Mr. Danner was born October 11, 1918, in Gordon, Texas, the son of the late Lena (Henderson) and John Danner. He passed away Saturday, April 15, 2006, in a Lufkin hospital.

Mr. Danner was retired from Boeing Aircraft, following many years of employment as an engineer. He was a graduate of the University of Texas.

Survivors include his daughters and sons-in-law, Connie and Tommy Harris of Lufkin, Judy and Larry Gockley of South Padre Island, and Linda and Larry Barnes of Tyler; son, John Danner of Amarillo; sister, Jessie (Sis) Matthews of Hereford; nine grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; and a number of nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

Mr. Danner was preceded in death by his wife, Jimmie Danner, in September 2001; and daughter, Bonnie Edmondson, in June 1997.
