|A payphone sitting in a grassy area off Montgomery Street in Gilmer has drawn numerous calls from curious residents, some of whom had never seen one before.
The payphone is displayed on the Dean family property alongside old farm and ranch equipment. It still has an old rotary dial.
Some passersby thought it was a donation box, others an ATM. One person even thought it was a stand-up jail cell for a single person.

|Big Sandy teacher Kimbelry Ward-Fields built a healthcare program at Big Sandy High School from scratch out of one of the hardest moments of her life, her husband's death from COVID, in 2021. “It wasn’t until this year until I saw my purpose. I was driving to work and realized that I was actually leaving my late husband’s legacy here at Big Sandy,” Ward-Fields said.

|The Longview chapter aims to collect 2,000 pairs of shoes to serve the region. People can drop off shoes inside different churches and businesses throughout Longview. Buckner asks for new, closed toe and preferably athletic style shoes.
Buckner received about 1,800 pairs of shoes last year. Executive Director Shelly Smith said no matter how many are donated; they will still give out 2,000 pairs.

|Around 9:35 p.m., Jacksonville PD reported multiple 911 calls about a shooting near Lincoln Park, near Davis Avenue and Holloway Avenue. Officers located three adult males who were wounded by gunshots. Detectives are working to identify those involved in both shooting incidents and are asking anyone with information to contact the Jacksonville Police Department at 903-586-2546.
