Happy Wednesday, East Texas! We're in for another hot and mostly sunny afternoon. Highs today will be in the upper 90s to 100-degrees. A Heat Advisory is in effect from the National Weather Service. There is a low chance for rain today, but much like the last few days, most of East Texas will stay dry. The forecast calls for generally the same conditions for the rest of this week and early next week. Chances for rain may be slightly higher by the middle of next week. Also of note today, Tropical Storm Cristobal formed in the Atlantic. It will have no impact on East Texas. We continue to monitor other areas in the Atlantic for potential development in the coming days. Have a great afternoon.
