SAN AUGUSTINE, Texas (KTRE) - San Augustine has announced upcoming changes in the police force.

Police Chief Jessee Fountain has announced his upcoming retirement. The police department announced the new man to fill his shoes when he steps down.

Shannon Brazeal, who is currently chief deputy at San Augustine County Sheriff’s Office, will take over as police chief when Fountain retires. The date of the transition was not announced.
