2 arrested, charged with injury to a child in Gaines County

GAINES COUNTY, Texas (KCBD) - The Gaines County Sheriff’s Office has arrested two people in connection with a child injury investigation.

Seth Russell and Markeya Russell are charged with injury to a child causing serious bodily injury, a first degree felony.

On Thursday, Dec. 4, Seminole EMS responded to reports of a child experiencing a severe headache.

Following a joint investigation by the Gaines County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigation Division, the Seminole Police Department and the Texas Rangers, Seth and Markeya were arrested in connection to the case.

Both are being held on $325,000 bonds.
