Woman charged with evading police after early morning crash in central Lubbock

LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD) - A woman is in jail accused of evading police after a crash in central Lubbock early Wednesday morning.

Just before 2:45 a.m., police say 23-year-old Armani Gonzales initially hit a traffic sign at Marsha Sharp Freeway and Boston Avenue.

Texas Tech police arrived at the scene first when Gonzales reportedly exited the vehicle and ran.

Gonzales was later taken into custody by Lubbock police. She’s now charged with evading arrest and other unrelated warrants.
