Longview, Tyler ISDs earn Bs, Nacogdoches, Lufkin get a C in TEA accountability ratings
TYLER, Texas (KLTV) - The Texas Education Agency announced the release of the A-F Accountability Ratings for the public school systems.
Longview ISD and Tyler ISD each received a B while Lufkin and Nacogdoches got a C.
“Looking at the aggregate, I’m proud of our students, parents, teachers, and campus principals for the way they performed in the 2025-2026 school year,” said Tyler ISD Superintendent of Schools Dr. Marty Crawford. “The characteristics of our school district are unlike any other in East Texas, and we are competing well against our state peers.”
The following East Texas school districts received an A rating:
Douglass ISD A 96
Broaddus ISD A 96
Spring Hill ISD A 93
“This accomplishment is a direct reflection of the tremendous work and dedication of our students, teachers, staff, and administrators,” said SHISD Superintendent Penny Fleet. “Our educators work very hard every day to meet students where they are, challenge them to grow, and help them achieve at high levels. These ratings recognize the exceptional academic growth and achievement taking place throughout our District. We are extremely proud of our students, staff, administrators, and parent partnerships as it takes everyone working together to prepare students for future success.”
