Increasing cloud cover this afternoon

EAST TEXAS (KLTV/KTRE) - Happy Monday, East Texas! We’ll see mostly sunny skies become partly cloudy this afternoon, and eventually mostly cloudy tonight. Temperatures today will be a couple degrees cooler than Sunday afternoon, but we’ll still be in the low 80s. The forecast is dry for the next couple of days; however, we are still forecasting rain for Halloween. The chance for showers and thunderstorms returns to East Texas on Friday and will increase on Saturday (Halloween). At this time, severe weather is not expected. That said, thunderstorms alone will create a dangerous atmosphere for outdoor trick-or-treating. We’ll continue to monitor for any changes and communicate those to you as we get them.
