More clouds than sun but dry for our Monday forecast
East Texas (KLTV/KTRE) - Good morning, East Texas! Our work and school week are starting off quiet with partly to mostly cloudy skies and cool temperatures in the 50s. Thankfully, the air in place remains quite dry, so it still feels pleasant and light this morning! Expect to see a mix of sun and clouds today, though many could remain mostly cloudy for the majority of the day. Despite the continued cloud cover, we will remain dry all day as well. Temperatures will remain above average this week but won’t trend too toasty as most will warm only into the lower 80s this afternoon. Tuesday will start off mostly cloudy and cool in the 50s, but some sunshine will return in the afternoon with another round of highs in the lower 80s. A weak disturbance could bring a very low-end chance for a shower or two on Wednesday, but coverage for any type of rain appears very low at this time. Thursday will likely trend mostly dry as well, but shower chances will begin to slowly increase starting on Friday. Rain chances continue to climb for Saturday (Halloween), and while severe weather does not look likely at this time, scattered showers certainly looks to be a possibility throughout the day so you’ll want to keep a close eye on the forecast as we fine-tune the potential timing and placement for Saturday’s rain. Rain coverage looks to diminish through Saturday night, and Sunday will likely only bring a low-end chance for showers throughout the day.
