The City of Longview is open to suggestions to make Fourth Street safe. So, they organized an open house where residents like Margo Macaulay could talk about it directly with Longview Metropolitan Planning Manager Bryan McBride.
“It’s past needing help because there’s just too much congestion. And people take risks trying to go in and out of the parking lots. So, it’s very difficult. I try to avoid it,” Macaulay said.
The proposal, introduced during ongoing budget discussions, comes as the city grapples with skyrocketing manufacturing costs and tightening state revenue restrictions.
